Anthony (Tony) Wayne Proper, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas (Formerly of Olathe, KS), 71, died unexpectedly from complications after surgery at a hospital in Springfield, MO on December 10, 2015.
Tony was born on September 14, 1944 in Two Rivers, WI.
Tony graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers, WI in 1962. Tony lettered in swimming and participated in pep band. Tony has maintained contact with many of his high school friends whom he cherished.
Tony's career included working in finance and banking, and sales positions with Mercury Marine, Chris-Craft Boats, Bushnell, Garmin, and Alpen Optics. Tony retired in 2011 to Bull Shoals, Arkansas.
His passions were motorcycles, hunting, birding, boating, cooking, fishing, golfing, and waterskiing. He traveled extensively across the US and Europe and was a car enthusiast, aviator, gun collector, and adventurer. Tony maintained a large social circle and continued to stay in contact with his friends and family until the time of his death. Tony never knew a stranger.
Tony is survived by: his wife, Linda of thirty-five years, his daughter, Debra (Proper) Pokel, his son, Dean Proper, his daughter, Julie (Kraft) Keys, grandchildren, Holly Schlaefer, Nicholas Schlaefer, Griffin Keys, Jessica Keys, Alvin Pokel, Aaron Pokel, and great-grandson, Colton Schlaefer, and many friends around the country.
Tony was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Grace Martinkavitz.
