Anna (Riggs) Richardson, 68, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2017.
Anna was born on August 27, 1949 to Howard Charles and Everill (Eve) Ann Riggs in Iola, Kansas.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Shawnee, KS and recently attended the 50th year reunion, celebrating with former classmates from the area. She also studied business at Johnson County Community College.
Anna worked as a cost accountant, most recently for Schroer Manufacturing Company in Kansas City, KS. Anna retired at the beginning of this year and planned to travel. She made her first out-of-state jaunt shortly thereafter, visiting Florida's Atlantic Coast and the Orlando area. She also enjoyed several days this summer in Branson, MO with her only granddaughter, Jenna, whom she loved dearly.
Anna is survived by her daughter Jessica Richardson of Olathe; Jessica's daughter Jenna; her brother, Charles Riggs of Overland Park; her sisters, Joan Riggs of Rockville, MD, Susan Breon of Olathe, KS, Paula Harper of Phoenix, AZ and Connie Riggs, her former sister-in- law, of Olathe, KS. Anna has two nephews, Rodney Riggs of Olathe, KS and Zack Harper of Phoenix, AZ. She also has three nieces, Anne Harper of Phoenix, AZ , Miranda Breon of Olathe, KS, and Karli Riggs of Overland Park, KS. There are also many aunts, uncles and cousins, with particular mention of her aunt, Dorothy Norris of Laquay, MO.
Anna was an active member of Christ Family Church and enjoyed serving in her faith community.
Anna was an avid sports fan of the Kansas City teams, particularly her beloved Kansas City Royals, with the Chiefs and the KU Jayhawks close behind!
She is preceded in death by both her mother and father, as well as her older brother, James Riggs.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 13, 2017,from 6:00-8:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, Kansas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 2:30 pm also at the funeral home.
