Ann (Posey) Price, 68, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012 in Olathe, Kansas due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.
Ann was born September 29, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Beulah L. (Nash) Posey and John W. Posey III. After high school she married Edward Richard Cantu of Austin, Texas, with whom she adopted a daughter while living in Germany. The couple divorced, after which she settled in Kansas with their daughter.
In 1977, Ann married Calvin Dean Price of Olathe, Kansas. Throughout her life, she worked in various fields including a long career as a receptionist with the Johnson County Mental Health Center. She was a great cook, a terrific decorator and a passionate animal lover. Ann was an extraordinary mother and deeply committed to her family.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and John Wesley Posey, and sister, Bonnie Jacobson.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Calvin, her daughter, Nicole Cantu-Ellis of Burbank, CA and grandaughter Ava Ellis. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Dorothy Mealman of Olathe, KS; brother, Carl Posey of Northridge, CA; three step-children, four step-grandchildren, eight nieces and two nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Odyssey Hospice.
