Anita Hanzlick, 72, of Olathe, passed away on June 16, 2019. She was born on January 7, 1947 to Ludwig and Margaret (Beiker) Berning in Scott City, KS.
She was born and raised on the family farm east of Marienthal, KS. She went to grade school at Marienthal and high school at St Marys of the Plains in Dodge City. Currently, Anita was employed at Walgreens in Olathe.
Anita is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie Hanzlick; one sister, Linda Appl; and three brothers, Andrew Berning, Kenneth Berning, and Jerome Berning.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Leona Armstrong, Margaret Mary Harrmon, Frieda Perry and Louise McCombs; and two brothers, Raymond Berning and Donald Berning.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Penwell Gabel's Olathe Chapel, with a memorial service following at 11:00 a.m.
