Angela Dawn Reed

Angela Dawn Reed passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 after complications from cancer. Angela was born on March 6, 1967 to Dennis Reed and Barbara Snyder at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
After graduating from Fort Osage High School in Independence, Angela attended college at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. For the last 20 years Angela worked for the City of Olathe, most recently as Olathe's Safety and Risk Management Coordinator. Angela had a passion for her work and was recognized with many awards through the years. Angela had a zest for life and a creative flare, much to the delight of her family and friends who were the recipients of her delicious baked goods and her beautiful birthday cards and gifts. She loved gardening and traveling, and filled her life with both at every opportunity. She brought warmth, color and laughter to many and will be remembered forever.
Angela is survived by her mother, Barbara Snyder, her brother, Jonathan Reed, and her partner of over 18 years, Chad Johannsen.
A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, December 11 starting at 5:30PM, with a celebration of life immediately to follow at 6:30PM at College Church of the Nazarene, Uphaus Hall (2020 E Sheridan, Olathe, KS 66062). Angela's inurnment will be at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery in a private ceremony with her family.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations in Angela's honor can be directed to the family or made out to the Olathe Animal Shelter, Attn: Angela Reed Memorial, 505 E. Sunvale, Olathe, KS 66061.
