Amos Tinsley Davis, III was born July 26, 1942 in Portland, OR to Amos Tinsley, Jr and Flora Thome Davis. Because his father was a U.S. Army officer, the family traveled the world, living in places such as; Yokahama, Japan, Washington D.C. and others. Later in his teen years his family settled in Olathe where he graduated from Olathe High in 1961. He briefly attended Emporia State before he landed a job at Midwest Acoustics where he was a carpenter on construction jobs for 25 years. After he retired from Midwest Acoustics he went to work for the Olathe School District where he worked for 10 years.
He met his wife, Joyce, through mutual friends and they were married in 1963. Together they had 2 children.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Joyce Davis of the home, their 2 children Rebecca Weaver and Timothy Davis both of Olathe. His brother George and his wife Dorothy of Overland Park. Grandchildren; Justin Tyler and Brittany Davis of Dallas, TX and one great grandchild Dylan Davis and a second on the way. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather.
