AMELIA "GENNY" PAXSON
Age 83, passed away November 3, 2008 in Olathe, KS. Private services were held at Aberdeen Village Chapel. Memorials suggested to Alzheimers Association and Grace Hospice of Kansas City. Interment, Memorial Park, Lawrence, KS.
Genny was born June 26, 1925 in Kansas City, KS to William and Ebba Brigham. She was married to Chester Paxson on October 12, 1941 in Burlington, KS, and together they raised their family in the Kansas City, KS area and in Lawrence. She was employed with the Lawrence Public Schools Food Service, and was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters; Gennie Nickels and husband, Bob, Donna Alexander and husband Kenny, and Sherri Allen and husband, Chad, grandchildren Kristan, Bret, Kim, Shannan, Jennifer, Jamie, Keri, Shaun, and Samantha, and great-grandchildren, her brother, James, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chet, and daughter Marcia Decker, and her brother, John.
