Alma Marie Herbert

Alma Marie Herbert was born September 24, 1928 to the union of Randy and
Florida Wesley in Mangham, Louisiana. She was the 6th child born to this
beautiful union.

Alma received her education in the Monroe, Louisiana public school system.
Alma was married to Ulysses Charles Herbert Sr. and together they raised
(6) beautiful children.

In the 1950's the family moved to Garden City, Kansas, that is where they met
the Bradshaw family and attended the same church.

Alma was employed at Sears & Roebuck for 40 years.

Alma was a faithful member of Legacy Christian Church for 30 years.

Alma loved fishing, hunting, cards, board games and reading. She also
enjoyed spending time in her garden.

Alma was very active in her weekly Bible Study and Women's Lunch Club
at Legacy Christian Church. Alma was also an active member of her local
YMCA.

Alma is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and loving husband.

On Thursday, September 30th, 2021, her beautiful soul gained its wings
surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves lots of precious memories that will
be cherished with her (6) beautiful children, Audrey Herbert of Shawnee,
Kansas; Delores (Virgil) Jones of Olathe, Kansas; Ulysses (Harriett) Herbert
of Spring Hill, Kansas; Beverly (Isham) Long of Olathe, Kansas; Randolph
Willie Herbert of Shawnee, Kansas; Wilton (Vanessa) Herbert of Shawnee,
Kansas; (15) grand children; (13) great grand children; and a host of family
and friends.
