Allen Harold Theno

ALLEN HAROLD THENO, 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Olathe, KS on March 16, 2011. He was born in Osawatomie, KS on August 2, 1940, and grew up in Paola, KS. Al graduated from Paola High School in 1958 and then went on to the University of Kansas where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. After college he joined the Naval Air Reserve. Al retired from IBM after 25 years of service in 1994. He had so many fond memories of his IBM days, and made so many life long friends through his career there. Al was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, and a member of the St. Philippine Duchesne Assembly of the Knights of Columbus as a Fourth Degree Knight. Al was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to bar-b-que, play golf, cheer for KU basketball and spend time with family and friends.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lucile (Falkner) Theno and his sister, Eleanor (Theno) Wanamaker.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda (Wempe) Theno of Olathe; daughter, Tracy Green (Graham), Shawnee, KS; son, Tyler Theno, Gardner, KS and granddaughter, Kelly Donahoe, and many nephews and nieces.
