Alice Scherzberg

ALICE ELIZABETH SCHERZBERG, age 61, passed away April 12, 2012 in Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd, Olathe, KS followed by funeral services on Monday, April 16 at 11:00 am at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 13145 Blackbob, Olathe, KS. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Louis Second Wind Lung Transplant Association, www.secondwindstl.org.
Alice was born May 4, 1950 in Kansas City, MO to Daniel and Barbara Watkins. She married Jim Scherzberg on February 3, 1973, and they made their home in Olathe, KS. While raising their family, Alice enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors for the Johnson County Historical Society. Jim and Alice were long-time members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Jim, her children, Catherine (Duane) Wiley, and Michael (Jennifer) Scherzberg, seven grandchildren, her mother Barbara Watkins, and thirteen brother and sisters. She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Paul.
