Albert W. Brown, Jr.

March 24, 1923 — October 12, 2018

Albert Brown was born March 24, 1923 in Fargo ND to Albert and Emma Brown (née) Krause.

He attended Baker University and graduated from Kansas University in 1948 with an Electrical Engineering degree. He entered the Army in 1942 and served in World War II where his artillery unit participated in the Battle of the Bulge.

He married Helen Conice Hursh (Connie), on September 8, 1944, and after college graduation they moved to Schenectady, NY where he worked for General Electric. In 1953 he was transferred to Colombia South America.

In 1958 they returned to the US and lived in California for a year, and then settled in Shawnee, KS.

He was an outstanding bridge player and enjoyed playing golf.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and wife, Connie.

He married Betty Brooks in 2010, and enjoyed eight wonderful years with her.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Brown, and his children, Leigh Ann Poe (John), Lawrence, Kyle (Bernadine), Ellen, and 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Completing the family are Betty's son, Mark Brooks (Gerda), 5 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
