Albert Carl Amborn, Jr.

Albert Carl Amborn Jr., 76, of Olathe, passed away on November 12, 2021 at Nottingham Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born on October 10, 1945 to Albert and Margaret (Lowe) Amborn at Needles, CA. He served our country in the US Army, and then began his career with the Johnson County Supply Management Division.
He retired from Johnson County in 2010.
On October 11, 1974, he married Seletha Elaine Gudde, and they made their home in Olathe, KS.
He was a member of Kansas City Barbecue Society ,and he enjoyed participating in multiple BBQ contests through out the metro. Both with his team and judging. He was also a huge sports fan. Cheering for his favorite local teams. Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Kansas Men's Basketball.
Albert is survived by his loving wife, Seletha, his son, Andrew Amborn, and son Jay Mcclendon and his wife Barbara, and grandchildren, Kris & Kassie Mcclendon.
He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Lowe (Weaver), grandmother Mamie Lowe, and grandfather Harry Lowe.
No services at his request.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on December 11th, 2021 from 3-6pm at Greenwood Estates, 13350 S. Greenwood St., Olathe KS 66062.
