Agustin "Auggie" Alejos was born May 28, 1951 in Topeka, KS to Sergio and Felicitas Alejos. He was the youngest out of 12 siblings. Auggie resided in Topeka for most of his life. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1969 and went on to have a fulfilling career in both automotive and retail sales.

Auggie grew up across the street from Elizabeth "Lee" Barraclough, the two were reintroduced while working at Dillard's and married in 1988. They moved to Florida in 1990 and returned to the Kansas City area in 1997, settling in Olathe and at time of death, Overland Park. Auggie's proudest accomplishment in life was being the father of Jennifer (49) and Joshua (30). He was a dedicated and selfless husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather. Auggie enjoyed spending quality time with his family, being outside, and cooking on the grill. He will forever be remembered for his contagious smile, hearty laugh, and love of life.
