Ada Lee Beasley passed from life on February 15, 2010, in Laurie, MO. Ada Lee was born on September 3, 1916, to Simeon Franklin and Mary Frances (Donham) Hiatt in Morse, KS. She graduated from Stanley High School and attended Central Business College in Kansas City. Ada Lee worked as an accountant, secretary, legal secretary and secretary for the Department of Welfare in Johnson County, KS prior to marriage. Ada Lee was united in marriage to David Harrison Beasley in Harrisonville, MO on March 11, 1939. After marriage she worked as a homemaker until her children graduated high school and then for the Wellsville Bank, Wellsville, KS and later for Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, KS.

Ada Lee was preceded in death by her parents and brother LeRoy F. Hiatt. She leaves her husband David H. Beasley and two sons William F. Beasley and David L. Beasley; four grandchildren, Staci Elkins, Jennifer Rios, Teresa Andersen, Christopher Beasley and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 to 2:00 on Friday, February 19, at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 Blackbob Rd. Olathe, KS. Graveside services and interment will follow immediately at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you take a moment to remember Ada Lee.
