Everett "Jack" Turnage, 87, of Surprise, AZ formerly of Olathe, KS passed away Sat. Aug 27, 2022.

Everett Jackson Turnage was born on June 22, 1935 to Everett Emmet and Helen Margaret (Patterson)Turnage. He was the middle child of two loving sisters, Nancy Wilfley and Anne Green.

He married Beverly Ann Barkley, the love of his life, on May 26, 1956. They were married for 50 years, and 10 days. They lived in Carthage, MO most of their married life and were members of Fairview Christian Church.

Jack joined the Missouri National Guard on April 20, 1953 as an enlisted soldier. He then attended Officers Training School and retired on August 31, 1989 as a LT Colonel. After retirement he worked at Wolferman's Bakery as a telephone trainer, and Northrop Grumman as a battlefield strategist.
He purchased his motorcycle to relieve some stress while helping take care of Beverly as she deteriorated in health.

He was a member of College Church of the Nazarene in Olathe, where he made many friends and was one of the original members of the CC Riders motorcycle ministry. He also was very active with the Legion Riders Post #407 and the Patriot Guard. He enjoyed many cross-country rides with his riding friends riding to most of the lower 50 states.

In 2018 he moved to Sun City Arizona to enjoy the "warm" weather and fulfil his dream of living in the "Wild West".

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and loving wife.

He is survived by two daughters, Pam Greiner (Bill) and Cindi Hoskins (Mark), 6 grandchildren, Matt Stratton, Heather Humble (Tim), Lexi Bolin (Chris), Blake O'Dell (Laurie), Clay O'Dell (Mica) and Steve McKarus, 5 step-grandchildren, Andrea Rhodes (Brad), Amy Greiner, Patrick Hoskins (Ashley) Mallory Huffman (BJ), Olivia Hoskins. 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nephews and nieces.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who ever had the privilege of knowing him.
