Karen I. Perry, 74, of Wesley Chapel, FL, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2021.
Karen was born on November 13, 1946 in Gardner, KS to Milton and Cleda Ernst. She attended school in Olathe, KS and graduated from Olathe High School in 1964.
On March 13, 1965, she married Steven L. Perry, and they made their home in Olathe, KS for the next 40 years. Karen and Steve became the proud parents of two boys – Curtis L. Perry and Scott R. Perry. Karen worked as a Payroll Manager for the Olathe District Schools for over 35 years, retiring in 2004. After retiring, she and Steve fulfilled their dream of retiring in Florida and moved to the Tampa Bay area where they enjoyed the sun and fun of Florida.
Family was always the number one priority for Karen. Over the years, she enjoyed attending and supporting all the different activities and sporting events of her two boys and then of her grandchildren. She never missed a baseball game, basketball game, football game, softball game, or band concert that her boys or grandchildren were involved in. Karen, or Nana, so loved her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as possible. Most recently she had become a great-grandmother and was thrilled to spend time with him and so enjoyed the FaceTime calls from Kansas. Karen always had a smile on her face and was always a gracious hostess to friends and family.
