Paul Fredrick Lark was born on May 3, 1946 to Richard and Mary Louise (Deady) Lark in Kansas City, MO both of whom preceded him in death.
He grew up in Kansas City, MO attending Visitation Elementary and graduating from Bishop Hogan High School in 1964. He attended Regis College in Denver, Colorado joining the Army National Guard shortly after.
Paul was a District Manager for Western Water Management, Inc. going into early retirement due to severe rheumatoid arthritis. During retirement he enjoyed his time volunteering with the Olathe Police Department and the local Meals-on-Wheels program along with other community services. Paul was an avid sportsman and enjoyed watching football, basketball and golf, which in his early years he was known as a single-digit handicap golfer. Along with his passion for sports he enjoyed fishing with his friends and family. He loved his KU Jayhawks, KC Royals and watching his beloved KC Chiefs win the LIV Super Bowl this past fall.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol, and their four children, Lisa (Alexander) Price, Kristen (Jeffrey) Vandeloo, Deidre Lark and Jeffrey (Brittany) Lark. He was blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren - Nick Misse, Ellie, Zoe and Kate Price, Leo Vandeloo and Grace and Mia Lark.
Visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel, 14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe KS 66062 on Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W 143rd St Olathe, KS 66062 at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020.
*Due to restrictions at the church, the front doors will be unlocked between 10:40am-10:55am for guests to enter and be seated. Everyone in attendance at the service will be required to wear a mask. Seating will be limited.
