Joann Mary Miller

Joann Mary Miller, 88, of Olathe, KS passed away July 20, 2018. Joann was born on December 20, 1929 in Ellsworth, KS. She attended and graduated school in Wilson, KS. Joann married Elden Miller in June of 1948 and lived in Wilson until August 1964.

They moved to Olathe, KS and raised their family. She was active at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Cub Scouts and was a baseball and softball mom. She worked for the Olathe School District in the food service department for 20 years. Joann loved to cook for her family and friends, enjoyed large gatherings, and was Mom to everyone.

Joann was preceded in death by her husband Elden Miller, and her parents, Joseph and Elma Adamek (Heinze).

She is survived by her children Janet Trotter, Jaylene Huyett (Dan), Russell Miller (Tamra), Joy Miller, and Kevin Miller (Shelly), eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Catholic Community Hospice (9720 W 87th St., Overland Park, KS 66212) or the Alzheimer's unit at Villa St. Francis.
