Donald Mark Mayer was born on November 14th, 1955 to Don and Nancy Mayer in Pampa, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's in Engineering Technology. In 1984, he met Kathy Lee Miranda of San Angelo, Texas. They were married on September 1st, 1984 at Baptist Temple in San Angelo. Mark accepted a job in Kansas City, Missouri in 1985, moving his family including Kathy and their sons Eric and Isaac to Overland Park, Kansas. They later moved to their home in Olathe, Kansas where they welcomed their children Rebekah (1989), Donald (1991) and Natalie (1993) into their lives.
At the age of 9, Mark accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized at Overland Park Baptist Temple in the spring of 1986. He was a pillar in each of the lives of his family; a loving husband and father. He passed away on June 17th, 2017 at his home in Olathe, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, as well as his mother and father.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathy, son Donald, daughters Rebekah and Natalie, and brothers Steve and David.
