She was born September 22, 1944, to Margaret (Huether) and George Benyo in Jamaica, NY. Margaret grew up in Jamaica and Bellerose, NY and later lived in Stamford, CT and Overland Park, KS.
A graduate of The Kathryn Gibbs School in New York City, she worked for Anaconda Wire and Cable Company in inventory management, corporate traffic for Anaconda Ericsson, and as Director of Corporate Services and Real Estate for Ericsson, Inc. in Greenwich, CT. Upon relocating to Overland Park, KS with her husband, she resumed the title of Executive Director with TRIG Systems, and was also active with New Neighbors and her church.
Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, George Benjamin. She is also survived by her brother Capt. Jerome Benyo, two step-children, Andrew and Dorothy Benjamin, step-grandchildren Makayla and Matthew Benjamin, several nieces and nephews, and her devoted dog, Uno. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Nancy McGuire and Joyce Hildebrandt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Great Plains A.S.P.C.A.
